PATIENT POLICY

I would like to share with our patients certain expectations that are needed in the practice with the view of having a good relationship with other patients and the staff. We understand that all our patients are not the same and the demand and needs of every patient varies and the staff and I will do our best at achieving and satisfying the needs of each patient. We will therefore like to share our position with patients regarding the following;

TOBACCO USE

The use of tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and smokeless tobacco, is prohibited inside the organization’s facilities. Appropriate signage will be placed at entrances to the buildings advising patients and visitors that Nashville Digestive Disease Center and American Endoscopy Center, P.C. maintain a tobacco-free environment. This policy relates to all work areas at all times, including before and after normal working hours.

VIOLENCE

The safety and security of all patients and employees is of primary importance at Nashville Digestive Disease Center and American Endoscopy Center, P.C. Threats, threatening and abusive behavior, or acts of violence against other patients, employees, visitors, customers or other individuals by anyone on company property will not be tolerated. Violations of this policy will lead to reporting to appropriate law enforcement agencies for arrest and prosecution. Nashville Digestive Disease Center and American Endoscopy Center, P.C. reserve the right to take any necessary legal action to protect its employees.

WEAPONS

Despite some laws that allow people to carry firearms in public, American Endoscopy Center, P.C. prohibits anyone from possessing or carrying weapons of any kind on company property, in company vehicles, or while on company time. This includes:
Any form of weapon or explosive;
All firearms; and
All illegal knives or knives with blades that are more than six (6) inches in length.
